Healthy Body by You is more than happy to feature the lovely Daryn, from On the Road to Fitness to help us get through those tough mornings..
I know we hear or even say the phrase all the time “I’m not a MORNING PERSON”. I, myself, have been guilty of this. Or the ever so popular phrase, “I have a case of the Mondays”, even though its Thursday. We have all been there. Where we get out of bed and something doesn’t go right or we don’t get the coffee or breakfast that we wanted so now our WHOLE day is off. The worst part is we “feel” like there is no getting it back on track.
I have some GREAT NEWS. We can change all of this! There is a way to become a “morning person” and there is a way to get over a case of the “Mondays”. To start, we need to have a mindset change. We have set a negative connotation to Monday. Truthfully, I think it hurts Monday’s feelings. Monday isn’t the issue. The issue is that we haven’t mentally or physically prepared for Monday during the weekend, we probably didn’t prepare for the week as a whole. So now that it’s here, we feel “caught off guard”.
Making the mindset change to welcome the upcoming week can best be accomplished by taking it one day at a time. Try not to think of everything the WEEK has in store and all of the errands, meetings, and chores that have to be done. Instead, take it one day at a time. Just focus on the day at hand.
I do understand that on Tuesday you may be notified about a meeting on Thursday, but don’t stress about the meeting. Put it on your calendar and when Thursday comes then you deal with the meeting. I know that you may have a project to do that would be due on certain day. If you set your task each day, when the due day comes you will be prepared.
Now to get through the day, we have to prepare in the MORNING and set ourselves on a path that equates to SUCCESS. We have to put ourselves in a mindset that allows nothing but positivity for the day ahead. To do that I have come up with some wonderful TIPS to make sure we not only have a good MORNING but a wonderful day.
